The Yellow Sky of Earth
A climate change activist from Australia has proposed a radical solution to reverse global warming: Inject an element into the atmosphere that would change the color of the earth's sky. Professor Tim Flannery's "solar dimming" process would inject vast amount of sulfur into the atmosphere to repel the sun's rays. Although he admits that no one knows of any negative consequences, he suggested that jet fuel be used to deliver the sulfur.

Color Tales
Hi All,
As a color consultant/decorator/artist/photographer, I deal with color & light all the time. Am fully aware of how color changes in different lights, how it reflects off of & onto different surfaces etc, etc. Here is my very embarrassing color tale:
My bathroom needed some repair work and, as a result needed a new coat of paint. After going through nearly 50 shades of ready mixed color options & not finding the exact "right" shade of grey, I rolled up my sleeves & mixed a custom color for myself. I'm obsessive that way.
It was a small space so I decided to tackle the job myself. When I finished late that night, I was bone tired, and decided to wait until the following morning to do my spot check before packing away the supplies. Waking up to brilliant sunny day, I entered the bathroom & let out a huge groan. Whah?????? Aaaaaargh! Fuchsia spots in a couple of corners! Had I not mixed up the color well enough? Had the brush that I had used to cut the corners not been cleaned properly? What the &*!@?!!!!!
"O.K.....I need a strong cup of coffee before I start to redo this mess." As I was leaving the room, I glanced over my shoulder & caught a glimpse of a bright red shiny car parked outside of my home through the partially opened window in the bathroom.
You color gurus already know the end of this story.
The fuchsia spots were only the reflection of that (red) car on the (grey) walls in my bathroom.
I still had the strong cup of coffee.
